Lazio region is the land of the  magnificent gardens of Cardinals, Princes, Emperors and Popes.<\/p>\n

Lazio gardens keynotes are  the terraced architecture, the abundance of water, the grace of the greenery, the advanced water jokes and hydraulic devices which were provided with clever automatons in the Renaissance and in the Baroque age.<\/p>\n

The ancient Tivoli<\/strong>, in Rome district, boasts two UNESCO world heritage sites: Hadrian Villa<\/strong> and Villa d\u2019Este<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hadrian Villa<\/strong> has been the dwelling of the Emperor Hadrian (118-138 AD) and retains the extraordinary archaeological site along with the Pecile, the Canopus and the Maritime Theatre, set in a lush and verdant Mediterranean flora.<\/p>\n

The Gardens of Villa Barberini<\/strong> in Castelgandolfo are huge and magnificent: they retain the glorious Cryptoportic of Emperor Domitian.<\/p>\n
